The Boathouse Marina offers some of the best marine facilities, service and technicians in the Colonial Beach area. We can also charge electric cars! 

Bill Bowman leads a motivated team of Marina professionials; see column at right.  The boatyard is a reflection of the pride we take in servicing our customers and slip holders.  We are with you every step of the way to ensure your work request goes smoothly.  We are proud to provide the only 50 Ton Travel Lift in the area. 

All slip holders receive a 10% discount on parts and labor at the Marina. We recognize our hard working watermen with special discounts and sales tax relief when they supply us their waterman permit number.

Boat Slips and Dry Stowage

The Boathouse Marina has 70 slips, 5 that are covered.  Slips shown are our floating docks, and we have several piers with fixed docks.  We also have spaces available for dry stow on land. We are pleased that most slips are filled and we often work from a waiting list.  Call us to check current status.

Maintenance, Restore, and Repair Services

We have qualified personnel to handle routine maintenance, hull and interior restoration, carpentry, varnishing, painting, diesel and gas engine repair, electrical, electronics, and all boat related accessories.  

Haul Out Services

We are excited to show off our lift. This boat in the straps is a 51 footer that was brought to us for repair. Our new 50 Ton lift makes this an easy lift. 

Recent Projects

And they are off!  Thanks to Ricky and CJ and their repair effort, this Carver, and happy owners were put back in the water, and continued their planned trip.  

                    Here is one snapshot of our latest demasting work on a sailboat.

It’s is a little tricky but the view is great from up top stated CJ of our Marina crew.  Mast climbing is a skill some sailors love to put into practice, while others leave this dizzying job to us. CJ is well practiced, as Ricky looks on (outside of picture) as a spotter.  CJ made the climb stress free in under an hours time.  Just another service we provide.

                     Ricky Little

           Marina Facility Manager

As a Waterman’s son, Ricky has been on the water since before he could walk. He is a lifelong and passionate boater who brings 20 plus years of marina experience to The Boathouse. As someone who enjoys getting his hands dirty, Ricky can be found weekly utilizing diagnostic equipment to test engines, conducting thorough assessments before starting any job, then efficiently make the repair.    Ricky is someone that can maintain your boat in great condition and recognize it's needs

                      Yard Hand

Frank is a long time boater, as well as a strong dock and yard hand. Maintaining a safe professional working environment, Frank carries out marina tasks, maintains quality standards, and provides exceptional customer service. Chances are you will see him securing boats to the docks, assisting with pump-outs and haul out.

                     Bill Shannan

                      Yard Hand

Bill provides general customer service to our boaters and other visitors to the Marina, handling a variety of duties including but not limited to assisting with boat arrivals and departures, boat hauling, and painting and waxing. Bill can also be seen doing whatever is needed to provide the best service to our boaters.
