John says: Enjoyable stay. We were just overnighting on the way to D.C. but enjoyed it so much ended up staying two nights. Great proprietor, friendly staff, cool place. Contrary to indication on older reviews there is now a laundry, the fanciest machine I've seen. As mentioned there is also the loarner (golf) cart. We used it to go to Food Lion but many cool restaurants are within walking distance, .3 to .7 miles, as well as the Colonial Beach beach. Will likely stay again on the way back from D.C.
Tom and Phyllis on Manifest say: The staff is friendly and accommodating. Reasonable rates on marine services and supplies. Located closer to town center and beaches on the Potomac (both are great), and the use of golf cart for exploring area and going to food Lion for provisions is nice. Well-appointed Captain's Lounge, including some grocery items for sale (e.g. eggs and milk), and individual bathrooms with toilet, sink, and shower. Bill and his team are great. We loved our stay! It's a perfect stop 1/2 way up the Potomac to DC (or when going down river). And Colonial Beach is a gem of a town. And fuel up at Colonial Beach Yacht Center on teh way out as they hgave good dies and gas prices.
Rudgeusa says: Very well maintained marina with new docks and Mr. Bill Bowman (owner) was very helpful taking care of all of my immediate needs (gas and electric). I would recommend to any boats during any weather distress or pleasure!!!
Persistence18 says: Great stop! Clean facilities, priced right @ $1.25 per foot. Easy walk or use the complimentary golf cart to go into town. Food lion is a short cart ride away stocked very well. Great restaurants, and pet friendly. 4 stars only because there's no laundry. We will be back.. FROM THE MARINA: We are sorry that we failed to show Persistence18 were the Laundry was. We have one washer and dryer available during working hours for our guests.
